Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 March 2026 · Last updated: 1 March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StackNest website and service (collectively, the "Service"), operated by StackNest ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
StackNest is an AI-powered code generation service that produces Minecraft plugin source code (Java, YAML, and related files) based on natural-language descriptions provided by users. The Service includes compilation validation, static analysis, and unit-test generation features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Free Tier and Paid Plans
The Service offers a free tier limited to 3 plugin generations and 20 prompt preview uses per calendar month per IP address. Paid plans (Pro and Studio) are available and provide additional usage limits and features as described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate code intended to harm, harass, exploit, or defraud others.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or disrupt the Service.
- Use automated scripts to bulk-generate content beyond what your plan permits.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying model weights or proprietary components of the Service.
- Resell access to the Service without written authorisation.
5. Ownership of Generated Output
You retain ownership of the specific text you provide as input ("prompts"). The generated Java code, YAML files, and other output ("Generated Content") produced by the Service are provided to you under the following terms:
- Free tier: Generated Content is licensed for personal and open-source use only. You may not sell, license, or distribute Generated Content for commercial gain.
- Pro and Studio plans: Generated Content is licensed for commercial use. You may sell, license, and distribute plugins that incorporate Generated Content without restriction.
We do not claim ownership of your Generated Content, but we reserve the right to use anonymised, aggregated output data to improve the Service.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT GENERATED CODE IS FREE OF BUGS, SECURE, OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW, TEST, AND VALIDATE ALL GENERATED OUTPUT BEFORE USE IN PRODUCTION.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StackNest and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
9. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
